Get Spotted

I am so glad I got the July Australian Vogue this week as there is a fantastic article on eccentric Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. They're talking about her because she has just joined forces with Louis Vuitton for a collaboration. This would have to be my favourite collaboration Louis Vuitton has ever done with an artist and Louis Vuitton has done many (Takashi Murakami, Stephen Sprouse and the list goes on). Every piece of the collaboration is so quirky and chic. Kusama is known for her spots and they feature so much with her collection with Louis Vuitton, from shoes, bracelets, of course bags and my favourite a collar necklace (which can be seen in a picture below).

I wonder if any of the Louis Vuitton stores in New Zealand will carry any of this collection. I hope they do as I will be traveling to Auckland soon for work and hope to see some of it in person. Maybe if I save  up I could treat myself.

Oh so sad

I'm not one to cry while watching movies no matter how sad but watching Deathly Hallows Part. 2 the scene where we find out the true loyalties of Snape really tugs at my heart strings. Ever since getting it on blu-ray on Wednesday I haven't been able to stop watching it. I'm sure there are other crazy mad Harry Potter fans who have been doing the same. LONG LIVE POTTER!

Karen x Street Peeper

I got the biggest surprise in the weekend to find Karen Walker on my favourite street style blog Street Peeper. Karen is wearing a dress of her own creation, a pink YSL clutch and shoes.

I'm finally back

I haven't blogged in months but that is because my computer finally died after five years. I had a little cry but was kind of happy that I finally got to upgrade my computer to something much faster and better. Another reason I haven't blogged is because I have been busy working. Yes, without work how an I suppose to support my designer fashion habit? Speaking of fashion, Karen Walker showed her Spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week this week. So chic and understated as usual. Karen really does represent the Kiwi Style so well even though the collection was entitled "The American Girl". Below are some of my favourite looks from the show.

Happy Birthday Harry!

So today we celebrate the boy wizard wonder Harry Potter's Birthday! No coincidence it is also J.K Rowling's Birthday too. I'm sure everyone has already seen the last Potter film Deathly Hallows Part. 2 right? Well if you haven't, get your butt to the nearest cinema to see it. I have to say it is quite a good film. Did cry really hard during the bit where Harry finds out the truth about Snape. I'm not too embarrassed to admit this as there were tonnes of people crying during the Midnight screening.
Anyways I hope J.K has an awesome Birthday and I am forever grateful to her for writing the series of books that I've enjoyed since I was 10. I'm 24 now so that's 14 years of unforgettable memories!
