I'm not one to cry while watching movies no matter how sad but watching Deathly Hallows Part. 2 the scene where we find out the true loyalties of Snape really tugs at my heart strings. Ever since getting it on blu-ray on Wednesday I haven't been able to stop watching it. I'm sure there are other crazy mad Harry Potter fans who have been doing the same. LONG LIVE POTTER!

Karen x Street Peeper
I got the biggest surprise in the weekend to find Karen Walker on my favourite street style blog Street Peeper. Karen is wearing a dress of her own creation, a pink YSL clutch and shoes.

I'm finally back
I haven't blogged in months but that is because my computer finally died after five years. I had a little cry but was kind of happy that I finally got to upgrade my computer to something much faster and better. Another reason I haven't blogged is because I have been busy working. Yes, without work how an I suppose to support my designer fashion habit? Speaking of fashion, Karen Walker showed her Spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week this week. So chic and understated as usual. Karen really does represent the Kiwi Style so well even though the collection was entitled "The American Girl". Below are some of my favourite looks from the show.

Happy Birthday Harry!
So today we celebrate the boy wizard wonder Harry Potter's Birthday! No coincidence it is also J.K Rowling's Birthday too. I'm sure everyone has already seen the last Potter film Deathly Hallows Part. 2 right? Well if you haven't, get your butt to the nearest cinema to see it. I have to say it is quite a good film. Did cry really hard during the bit where Harry finds out the truth about Snape. I'm not too embarrassed to admit this as there were tonnes of people crying during the Midnight screening.
Anyways I hope J.K has an awesome Birthday and I am forever grateful to her for writing the series of books that I've enjoyed since I was 10. I'm 24 now so that's 14 years of unforgettable memories!

Harry Potter Forever!
I've just gotten back from the Midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part.2. I'm not usually a big fan of the movies but I really enjoyed this one. I think it is because they didn't skimp on too much.
So I arrive at the cinema at 10:30pm thinking it's plenty of time because I'm an hour and a half early. Nope, I should have arrived earlier. There were loads of people. I mean scary amounts and I live in Palmerston North a town with about 75 thousand. I loved how so many people went dressed up and plus it made me feel a lot less embarrassed to be in all my Gryffindor get-up. I was fortunate enough to be in Cinema 1 (there were two other cinemas showing the film including one for 3D, which I hate) because it was the first cinema to let people in and it was also the cinema which sold tickets first, so I was with the hardcore fans. There were three chicks that had full Gryffindor robes and all but I was extremely jealous of them because they had these really cool light up wands.
Deathly Hallows Part.2 was done right which they haven't been in the past. I especially loved The Prince's Tale part of the movie. It was vindicating for Snape and I couldn't resist crying. I tried my best to stop but I just couldn't! The action scenes were done well and I thought the music throughout the movie was perfect. I'm not going to talk too much about scenes because I don't want to ruin it for others who have yet to watch it.
I have been quite emotional after the movie because Harry Potter has been with me since I picked up Philosopher's Stone back when I was 11. I'm 24 now and I'm still obsessed. The Harry Potter series will always have a special place in my heart. I hold on to it because it reminds me of my youth and has provided me with endless joy. Harry Potter Forever!

Daddy I want pizza and lie in glittery Miu Miu shoes!
To be honest I know very little about Hailee Steinfeld. All I know is that she's an actress. I think she looks amazing in these Miu Miu FW 2011 campaign shots though. The shot of her lying in all those glittery shoes makes me so happy. What girl wouldn't love being surrounded by beautiful Miu Miu shoes? I'm glad they didn't use a stick thin model for the campaign, because real girls eat pizza.

Chanel Haute Couture FW 2011/2012
Grand Palais on July 5, 2011 in Paris, France. |
I loved the entire collection but my favourite design has to be the white feather like dress. It is so chic but it could also be dressed down. Perfect!

Wish List Wednesday: Karen Walker Number Six Sunglasses in Crazy Tort
I love basically anything Karen Walker touches and I really love her sunglasses. I wish I had the disposable income to purchase all the Karen Walker I want. I have previously featured Karen Walker Number Six sunnies in black on my "Wish List Wednesday" but I now really also love them in "Crazy Tort". Aren't they gorgeous?

Chanel Tattoos!
Every girls dream is to own something Chanel right? Well I finally fulfilled my dream two weeks ago when I purchased a set of temporary tattoos from Chanel's SS 2010 runway show. I would have prefered my first Chanel purchase to be the classic 2.55 Bag, but at this stage of my life I just don't have the money. I have applied a tiny Chanel logo in a circle as my first tattoo on my left arm just above my hand. It looks pretty good and it hasn't come off after 3 days.

Sale at Karen Walker!
I received an email yesterday telling me that all Karen Walker stores are having a sample sale of up to 80% today. It sucks because there is no way I can get to Wellington, where the closest Karen Walker store is. However, I hope everyone who can make it has a great time snagging a bargain!

I'm Back!
You guys are probably thinking why hasn't this blog been updated? Well I've been really busy working on a few projects and I have also been spending my hard earned cash on fancy things that I will share with you tomorrow. I have been enjoying watching NZ's Next Top Model on TV3 every Friday at 7:30pm. This season has been really good. I especially like the Kristen Stewart lookalike Bianca. She's seems really geniune and kinda geeky. I always root for the geeks! Also my other favourite is Aroha. I am really glad that the judges have decided to put a "plus sized" model (in brackets because to me she doesn't seem or look plus sized, but I guess if your standing beside stick thin girls I guess you could call her plus sized). Aroha had won the challenge last week and she was so humble and so nice. How can you hate a nice girl?
None of the girls have been put in the bitch category yet but I think that's all about to change this week according to the ad for this weeks episode, it seems that Tyne will be this season's bitch.Tarina xx

NZNTM Cycle 3 starts tonight!
New Zealand's Next Top Model Cycle 3 is starting tonight on TV3 at 7:30. I'm intrigued to see what kind of girls the judge's choose this year. I hope Cycle 3 will be just as good as the last.

Music Month Tees
New Zealand Music has come along way. I know that I've been supporting a lot more New Zealand musicians. Just looking through my iTunes five years ago, I barely had any NZ music. Maybe it's the fact that radio didn't really push NZ acts or it might just be the fact that NZ music is just getting better. Every year there are new designs of the NZ Music Month tees. As usual there is the classic black tee with white target logo, both in womens' and mens'. I have been told by my Mum that I'm weird because I buy the same tee every year (the classic black and white target tee) but my argument is that they're not the same, the year on the back is different. Either way I'm not going to buy that design anymore as I'm actually really liking the black with pink target one. The tees are all for sale on Hallensteins website or instore for $29.99. I prefer trying before buying though, so I'll pop instore.

I Heart Mum!
I hope everyone has done something nice for their Mum today. I made my Mum pancakes for breakfast. I really don't know what I would do without my Mum. She's always there when I need her and I love going shopping with her. I hope everyone has a Happy Mothers Day!

The Ears Say It
I hope everyone had an awesome Easter weekend. I ate way too much chocolate, hung out with my friends and family. Also I rocked the Bunny Ears!

Bright Shades
I am loving all the bright and funky sunglasses at the moment. I would love to own the very coveted Prada Baroques but I think they are just a tad out of my price range. Karen Walker's latest eyewear collection is more in my price range and my favourite pair has to be the Karen Walker Patsy in Crystal Fuchsia as worn by the lovely Julia Frakes.

Bunny Ears
Yay it's Easter weekend. The time of the year to stuff our faces full of delicious chocolate and spend time with families. I will be parading my bunny ears all weekend. My inspiration is not the Easter Bunny but the Louis Vuitton FW 2009 show. I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!

Wish List Wednesday: Furla Candy Bags
I have been obsessing over these Furla Candy Bags for ages. I can't seem to find an online shop that will ship me one to New Zealand. I am desperate for one in any of the colours but if I had to choose it would have to be orange and blue. I love how the bags are so colourful and translucent. They are definitely the perfect accessory for all the people in the Northern Hemisphere where it is summer but I think they would be perfect in the winter too. These bags are a good way to brighten up the cold winter days which are quickly approaching.

WTF is in my bag?
Miu Miu Bag, Fluffy Gloomy Bear clip, Nivea Passion Fruits Lip Balm, Keys with various keyrings collected around the world, Hello Kitty mini coin bank, Guess Wallet, Parker Pen, Apple iPhone 3G with headset and Apple Sock.
Most fashion bloggers have done a "What's in my bag" post. Everyone loves a peek in someone else's bag and it's contents usually says a lot about the person. I think my contents says a lot about me.

Sending My Love To Japan
I have been deeply saddened by the events in Japan. My thoughts are with all the people in Japan.
I am glad my Japanese host family are not directly affected by the disaster.
Japan is such a beautiful country and I have very fond memories of my trip there in 2004.

Girl Of The Moment Julia Frakes
I am in love with Julia Frakes style. I love how she mixes cozy knit wear with Karen Walker shades.
She was also lucky enough to sit front row at Karen Walker's Fall 2011 show.
Aren't her Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony shoes to die for? Love Love Love!

Heartbreak
I haven't updated my blog this week out of respect for Christchurch which had been hit with an earthquake destroying nearly the entire city. Not only do I think it would be wrong to talk about fashion, music and things I like when there are so many more problems in Christchurch, where people are dead and missing. My thoughts are with you Christchurch.
